यसअघि रेग्मीले शीतलनिवास पुगेर राष्ट्रपति डा. रामवरण यादवसँग छलफल गर्नुभएको थियो ।संविधानसभा निर्वाचनको परिणाम घोषणा भएको २१ दिनभित्र संविधानसभाको बैठक आहृवान गर्नु पर्ने व्यवस्था छ ।
KATHMANDU, JAN 11 - Chairman of the Interim Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi has summoned the first meeting of the Constituent Assembly (CA) on January 22.
Following a discussion with President Ram Baran Yadav at Sheetal Niwas in Kathmandu on Saturday afternoon, Chairman Regmi fixed the date and time of the first CA meeting.
In his meeting with Regmi earlier today, President Yadav had suggested the latter to move ahead as per the constitutional provisions.
A press release issued by Chairman Regmi's press advisor Bimal Gautam states that Regmi has called for the first CA meeting as per Interim Constitution (article 69).
The meeting has been called for Jan. 22 (Wednesday) and the time has been fixed for 3 PM in the afternoon. The venue, like earlier, is the International Convention Center at New Baneshwor in Kathmandu.
The confusion over who should call the first meeting of the CA has now ended with Regmi taking the honours to call the maiden CA meet.
