UML dissatisfied with President Yadav's 'activeness'

KATHMANDU, JAN 06 - CPN-UML has expressed dissatisfaction against President Ram Baran Yadav 's 'activeness' in a case that is sub judice in the Supreme Court.

CPN-UML publicity department Chief Pradeep Gyawali said President's lobbying so that he could garner support for summoning the Constituent Assembly session was inappropriate and 'indecent'.

Terming President's activities as 'over involvement', leader Gyawali remarked such activities were not appropriate for somebody to be holding the respectable post that of a President.
"A person in such an illustrious post should not have such aspirations," he said, "It is all right if the President wants the parties to work together and promulgate the constitution within a year. But lobbying for the summoning of the CA meeting is inappropriate."

Likewise, UCPN (Maoist) leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi said it was not right for the President to show more concern than the executive head. Rayamajhi went on to criticise President Yadav alleging him of doing 'politics' by not endorsing ordinances during Baburam Bhattarai's premiership.
