चीनलाई तह लगाउन भारतको सहयोग माग्दै जापान :: Defence Ministers of India, Japan talk regional situation !!
२५ पुष, काठमाडौ । चीनसँग निकै लामो समयदेखिको सिमा विवादमा रहेको जापानले चीनसँगै सिमाविवादमा अल्झिरहेको भारतसँग चीनलाई तह लगाउनका लागि सहयोग मागेको छ ।
जापानका रक्षा मन्त्री इत्सुनोरी ओनोडेराले पूर्वी चाइना सी र केही अन्य क्षेत्रहरूको विषयमा भइरहेको विवाद सुल्झाउने अन्तिम उपाय वार्ता नै भएको बताएका छन् । उनले जापान र भारत दुवैका लागि चीन एक अत्यावस्यक छिमेकी भएको भन्दै चीनसँग दुवै देशको आर्थिक अवस्था जोडिएको बताएका छन् ।
उनले एक अन्तरवार्ताका क्रममा यसो हुँदाहुँदै चीनले पछिल्लो समय देखाइरहेको रवैयालाई रोक्नु आवश्यक भएको र यसका लागि विश्वले नै त्यसमा चासो देखाउनु पर्ने बताएका छन् ।
उनले जापान र भारत दुवै देशले चीनसँग वार्ता गर्नुपर्ने र चीनलाई उसले गरिरहेको कार्यलाई रोक्न चेतावनी सहित आग्रह गर्नुपर्ने बताएका छन् । उनले अन्तराष्ट्रिय नियम अनुसार अगाडि बढ्न चीनलाई दवाव दिनुपर्ने र यी समस्यालाई वार्ताकै माध्यमबाट समाधान गर्नुपर्ने भएका छन् ।
विगत लामो समयदेखी चीन र जापानबीच सिमा विवाद रहँदै आएको छ । जापानले चीनले सिमा मिचेको बताइरहेको छ भने भारतले लद्धाखमा बारम्बार चिनियाँ सेना छिरेको बताउँदै आएको छ ।
यस्तो अवस्थामा दुई देश मिलेर अन्तराष्ट्रिय जगतको समेत साथ लिएर चीनलाई तह लगाउनुपर्ने पक्षमा जापान देखिएको छ । जापानले सकेसम्म चीनलाई वार्ताको माध्यमबाट दवाव दिएर सिमा विवादलाई अन्त्य गर्ने तर्फ ध्यान दिएपनि चीनले यस विषयमा कुनै चासो नदिएको बताइन्छ । यसकारण पनि चीनलाई तह लगाउन उसका नजिकका छिमेकी राष्ट्रलाई साथ लिएर पेलेर भएपनि सहमतिमा ल्याउने सोचमा देखिन्छ जापान ।
New Delhi, Jan 6: India and Japan on Monday agreed to step up military ties as they exchanged ideas on the regional security against the backdrop of tensions in the East China Sea over the restrictions imposed their by China. The cooperation on military ties and other issues came up during talks between Defence Minister AK Antony and his Japanese counterpart Itsunori Onodera here. "The two ministers extensively and frankly exchanged ideas regarding regional and global security challenges, as well as bilateral defence cooperation and exchanges between India and Japan. They shared views on issues relating to the peace, stability and prosperity of the region," a Defence Ministry release said. The exchange of views on regional security situation comes against the backdrop of China establishing Air Defence Identification Zone over the area to bar passage of any kind, including flights of any other country. This move has led to tensions between Japan and China, with even the US getting involved.
At the meeting, Onodera also briefed Antony about Japan's National Security Strategy and the National Defence Program Guidelines, which were adopted in December 2013. Expressing satisfaction at the progress of their ties, the two sides agreed to continue high-level visit exchanges under which the Indian Defence Minister will visit Japan later this year and also decided to have bilateral naval exercise to be held in Japan. "The two countries also agreed to hold the third "2 plus 2" dialogue and the Defence Secretary-level 4th Defence Policy Dialogue in Delhi in 2014 and agreed to promote exchanges on UN Peacekeeping Operations," the release said. The two sides also agreed to continue expert exchanges in disaster relief and counter terrorism between both Indian and Japanese Army; and discuss possibility of conducting staff talks between their air forces along with professional exchanges of test-pilots and in the field of flight safety. The two ministers appreciated the progress on India-Japan bilateral defence cooperation including the second bilateral training between the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force and the Indian Navy from December 19-22, 2013.
