'Country should focus on economic development after ensuring timely constitution'

Senior leader of CPN (UML) Madhav Kumar Nepal on Tuesday said that the country should focus on economic development along with ensuring a timely constitution as per the aspiration of the people.


Saying that the country is gradually coming out of the difficult transition period after the second Constituent Assembly election, the former prime minister and Constituent Assembly member stressed on the need to come up with appropriate economic agendas and policies for a prosperous Nepal.

Inaugurating the first Annual General Assembly of Forward Community Micro-Finance in Duhabi of Sunsari, leader Nepal informed that the political parties are seriously engaged in the task of drafting the much-awaited new constitution with a year as per their commitment.

“After drafting the constitution, all concerned stakeholders should suggest an appropriate economic agenda and policies the nation should adopt to ensure a economically prosperous country,” he added.
