Rs 1 million looted from Hetauda bank

MAKWANPUR, DEC 22 - In a daring daylight robbery, Rs. 1 million was robbed from Alpine Development Bank in Hetauda, Makawanpur district on Sunday.
An unknown gang looted the cash while preparations were being made to take the amount to the bank's branch based in Chatiwan VDC.
Chatiwan branch manager Bishnu Adhikari and security guard Ram Bahadur Majhi were heading towards the branch office when two motorcycle-borne unidentified men showed up and looted the amount brandishing pistol near Furkechaur in Harnamadi VDC.
The robbers fled the scene with the looted money leaving behind the Pulsar motorcycle (Ba 13 Pa 1735) which they used for the robbery.
The incident occurred at around 11 in the morning.
Meanwhile, police have been interrogating manager Adhikari and guard Majhi about the robbery.
On December 10, unidentified men had robbed Rs 23.1 million from Nabil Bank 's Mahendranagar branch.
