Nepali Congress and its sister organizations are observing the 38th National Reconciliation Day – which is based on the party’s founding father BP Koirala’s principles of national unity and reconciliation - by organsing various programmes across the country on Tuesday.
NC has been marking 16 Poush as the National Reconciliation Day in memory of 16 Poush 2033 BS‚ the day party’s freedom fighters BP Koirala‚ Ganesh Man Singh and others leaders returned Nepal from exile for the protection and promotion of democracy in the country.
The party including its liason committees abroad, supporters and well wishers are also celebrating the occasion to celebrate BP Koirala's principles of national unity and reconciliation to unite all political parties in the country, ensure timely constitution and institutionalise the federal republic of Nepal, NC leaders said.
