DHANKUTA: Fire sparked from a cigarette butt in Dhankuta killed a person who was sleeping on a pile of hay, on Thursday morning.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Dil Bahadur Khadka (50) of Gaurishankar Tole of the district. He was killed after the pile of hay he was sleeping on caught fire after coming in contact with a cigarette butt.
Khadka was immediately rushed to the District Hospital, Dhankuta, and breathed his last while undergoing treatment.
