ACC U-19 Asia Cup: Nepal win against UAE
KATHMANDU: After two consecutive losses against Pakistan and India, Nepal have tasted a win against UAE in today's match in the ongoing ACC U-19 Asia Cup tournament in Dubai.
Chasing a total target of 160 runs, Nepal defeated the opponents by four wickets, finishing the game in 33 overs.
Riding on a brilliant 48-run stroke by Aarif Sheikh, Nepal marked this first win in the ongoing tournament. After losing an early wicket, Nepal caught up the momentum against the modest total they had been put up to.
Earlier in the match, bowler Sushan Bhari and Lalit Bhandari picked up four and three wickets respectively for Nepal. Similarly Bhuban Karki and Ramnaresh Giri picked up a wicket each to restrict the opponents to a modest total.
Nepal team was grouped together with pakistan, India and the UAE in Group 'A' while the Group 'B' comprise Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
